Teaching Methods of Teacher that I Observed
In els I became a student teacher in class 6 emerald. the students are very active, friendly, kind, humble and can also work well together. in els there are academic activities, for example every Monday they hold a ceremony, in the ceremony they sing the national anthem, the mars dmmmsu song, and say the vision and mission of the campus and end with dancing, so that children are enthusiastic about participating in school learning and also keep the children's bodies healthy. Before studying they clean the room, then tidy up their study table, after the teacher comes they say greetings, then pray.

Teachers in els still apply traditional methods in the classroom teaching process, for example making quizzes using a piece of paper, but teachers do not just teach, they always provide space for questions and answers and discussions with their students, learning becomes fun, and children are not bored in the classroom, children's funds have the courage to express opinions in class and also the use of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) has been done by teachers to their students.

teachers at els have a way of disciplining students. when they make noise in class, the teacher there says 1,2,3-5 accompanied by gestures to discipline them, then they will be quiet and become conducive.

2. Materials and Learning Innovations
Based on what I have observed, teachers use learning books in accordance with the subjects to be taught and in accordance with the applicable curriculum which is also owned by pupils in els.
The material is sometimes combined with songs, dances, and also teachers provide projects, games given to students to provoke student activeness.
3. Learning Resources and Technologies
Elementary school laboratory schools use the K12 curriculum for the learning process, and they use some workbooks and worksheets to develop students' abilities in reading, writing and problem-solving.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum used for teaching in schools is K12 basic education, as a guide for teachers in the form of MELC which is a guide for teaching.
In the MELC there are points that will be taught to students according to the subjects to be taught. .
2. TEACHING PLAN
Before making a lesson plan, we must know the subjects and topics that we will teach to students later. here I made the Philippine version of the lesson plan, where the difference between lesson plans in Indonesia and the Philippines is in terms of format, and also the activities that students will do specifically student answers that must be in the lesson plan. at els I teach science and math in els I teach science and math, in the process of making lessons assisted by my student buddies and corrected by Teacher Katrina, the science teacher, and Teacher Marvin, the math teacher.

Procedure of Teaching

Since I was assigned to a labschool elementary school that teaches specific subjects according to the school's curriculum, I had to create lesson plans and activities that corresponded to the subjects taught in the classroom.
Before conducting the demonstration, I must first ask the accompanying teacher about the subjects and topics that should be taught to the students and ensure that the activities I do are appropriate for the students.
In my demonstrations, mastery of the subject matter is very important. I have to follow the teaching plan carefully from the beginning of circle time until dismissal time.
Time Management and Organizing Activities
.jpeg)
The learning schedule in els starts at 08:00 am and ends at 04:00 pm. i learning has a weight of 1 hour which 1 hour is 50 minutes, as a pre-service teacher I have to maximize the learning that I bring for the next 50 minutes.
where in 50 minutes there must be ice breaking (games), material, activity pupils (motivation), questioner, assessment. My mentor teachers, teacher Katrina and Mr. Marvin, always help me on how to teach students with fun, and how to make classroom activities not boring.

Problem - Solving
We cannot avoid problems and challenges. This happens to me when I run out of words in giving instructions and sometimes seeing them very active in class, and noisy, makes me tired but I try to always smile, calm down and also think of ways to calm them down without us having to get angry, for example we give questions to students who are noisy in class
Classroom Management
If you are a teacher, it is impossible to have a quiet classroom, where students will behave and pay attention to you all the time.
Even if it's just for a minute, they will feel bored and will try to talk and share stories with you and their seatmates. Noisy classrooms are common for teachers and this should be brought to their attention.
What I do when I am in a situation like this, is that I get their attention by saying did you understand or I give a game out of the context of the lesson plan, which accidentally came to my mind.

Purpose of Practicum
The SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project aims for pre-service teachers to have teaching experience in another country in Southeast Asia. Specifically, the objectives of the SEA - Teacher Project are:
-
To enable student teachers to develop their teaching skills and pedagogy
-
Encourage student teachers to practice their English skills.
-
To enable student teachers to gain a wider regional and world view

To expose teacher candidates to diverse teaching and learning situations and opportunities, and the value of flexibility

Procedure of Practicum

.jpeg)
as my pre-service teacher had a duration of 1 month which started on September 24 - October 20, 2023. Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, the university that hosted us during our time in the Philippines.

Since I majored in elementary school education, I was placed in dmmmsu's elemantary laboratory school.but I was able to be introduced by the dmmmsu not only the elemntary school but their high school, and also we were invited to tour the campus area.

I spent one week at els for teaching practice. I was assigned to grade 6 emerald. teacher katrina is the homeroom teacher of grade 6 emerald. the first week I did observation, where I learned the character of each child, the condition in the classroom, and also how the teacher teaches in the classroom, how they discipline their students, etc.

Based on my observations, I realized that there are various methods that can be used to teach children, especially the hots (higher order thinking skills) method that has been implemented in each class. I also learned how to be a comfortable teacher for students and also to be firm with students' mistakes properly. I did my demonstration in the first and second week of October, one week before I had to consult with my mentor teachers, teacher katrina and mr. marvin, to get the topic from them.

Outcomes of Practicum
In this sea teacher program I learned many things, especially the education system and culture in the Philippines. I saw a lot of good culture when teaching there, one of which is respecting teachers. this is important for us to apply in the world of education because teachers are the second parents at school, and also the methods used in the classroom how children are taught to think creatively, be active in class and also be able to cooperate with each other.

I also learned to adapt to the surrounding environment, such as food, the rules that apply there. And this is where my creativity, teaching talents, leadership were trained adn i made new friends
The Challenges of Practicum
.jpeg)
The most challenging part of my experience was that I had to speak and teach in English with my poor English and the English accent mixed with tagalog made me sometimes confused in translating what they said, I had to manage my money to be able to live for 1 month in the Philippines.
then in the making of lesson plans that are much different from Indonesia makes it difficult for me to learn, but I am never discouraged to do it.

Overall Impression

Overall, it was great, because through this sea teacher program I was able to realize my dream of going abroad and was also able to feel and enjoy the culture abroad, especially in the Philippines, I was able to make friends with prospective teacher students in the Philippines, and I gained experience to be able to learn to be a good teacher and teach as a teacher in an elementary school laboratory school in Dmmmsu, Philippines, and dialogue with the community there.
Suggestion for Future Improvement

In the implementation of the sea teacher program, it can be extended for more than one month, so that the process of observation and teaching training is maximized. in the future the philippines and indonesia can work together in terms of education, where we can learn from each other. teachers in indonesia can learn the creativity of teachers in the philippines in teaching, and teachers in the philippines can learn the technology used in indonesia in classroom learning.
